Who will benefit most from Ariana’s Digital Writing Community?

  • Writers who struggle to call themselves “writers”

  • Writers who’ve been told to “study their craft” but have never been taught how to do so

  • Writers who feel excluded from traditional literary spaces

  • Writers with practical questions about the logistics of being a writer

  • Writers who can’t seem to find the time to work on creative writing projects

  • Writers seeking accountability and a values-aligned supportive community

  • Writers who enjoy poetry but are open to writing and studying other genres

  • Writers looking for a low-stakes, slow-spaced alternative to an MFA program

  • Writers interested in prioritizing PROCESS over PRODUCT

Who is this not for?

  • Writers with zero interest in poetry. Ariana’s creative writing pedagogy is inclusive of all genres, but has a strong emphasis on studying poetry. She believes “poetry is the genre all other genres go to experiment” and views poetry as foundational to a well-rounded creative writing practice.

  • This community focuses primarily on poetry, fiction, and some creative nonfiction. Writers who focus on picture books and young children’s literature (middle grade or below) may not feel their needs are being met.

  • Writers seeking step-by-step manuscript guidance. This is a generative, slow-paced learning environment for writers to sharpen their communal study skills, not a manuscript coaching program.
